เจ้าตลาดสองล้อ “ฮอนด้า” ยกบทบาทไทยเป็นฐานพัฒนาและผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์คุณภาพสูง พร้อมเทคโนโลยีทันสมัย รองรับตลาดภายในและส่งออกทั่วโลก หลังประสบความสำเร็จกับเครื่องยนต์หัวฉีด PGM-FI และเปิดตัวรถรุ่น “พีซีเอ็กซ์” ล่าสุดลุยโครงการยักษ์ ทุ่มลงทุนพัฒนาและขึ้นไลน์ผลิตรถสปอร์ตโมเดลใหม่ เปิดตัวปลายปีนี้ และเชื่อมั่นตลาดฟื้นตัวแล้ว คาดภาพรวมยอดขายปีนี้พุ่ง 1.79 ล้านคัน เติบโต 16% ฮอนด้ากวาดไป 1.22 ล้านคัน
นายจิอากิ คาโต ประธานกรรมการบริหาร บริษัท เอ.พี.ฮอนด้า จำกัด ผู้จำหน่ายรถจักรยานยนต์ฮอนด้าในไทย เปิดเผยว่า ทุกๆปีฮอนด้าได้มีการลงทุนเพิ่มกำลังการผลิตอย่างต่อเนื่อง แต่การดำเนินงานของฐานผลิตในภูมิภาคเอเชียได้แยกบทบาทชัดเจน โดยอินเดียและอินโดนีเซียจะขยายการผลิตเน้นเชิงปริมาณ ขณะที่ฐานการผลิตในไทยจะเป็นเรื่องของการพัฒนาและผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์คุณภาพสูง หรือเป็นสินค้าที่ใช้เทคโนโลยีระดับสูงใหม่ๆ
“ฮอนด้าเป็นผู้ริเริ่มนำเทคโนโลยีหัวฉีดมาใช้ในไทยเป็นรายแรก และล่าสุดได้เปลี่ยนทุกรุ่นเป็นรถหัวฉีด PGM-FI ทั้งหมด และเมื่อปลายปีที่ผ่านมาก็ได้มีการเปิดตัวรุ่นพีซีเอ็กซ์(PCX) รถโมเดลใหม่ที่เพียบพร้อมไปด้วยเทคโนโลยีทันสมัย เพื่อรองรับการทำตลาดในประเทศและส่งออกทั่วโลกเป็นครั้งแรก และปลายปีนี้ก็จะมีการแนะนำรถจักรยานยนต์สปอร์ตโมเดลใหม่ ซึ่งเป็นอีกโครงการใหญ่ในไทย ที่ลงทุนพัฒนาและผลิตขึ้นใหม่ เพื่อรองรับตลาดในประเทศและส่งออกทั่วโลกเช่นเดียวกัน”
โดยโครงการผลิตรถสปอร์ตโมเดลใหม่ ยังไม่สามารถเปิดเผยรายละเอียดและมูลค่าการลงทุนในขณะนี้ได้ แต่จะเป็นโครงการที่มีการลงทุน และมีความสำคัญใกล้เคียงหรือมากกว่า การลงทุนผลิตรถรุ่นพีซีเอ็กซ์แน่นอน ซึ่งการดำเนินงานทุกอย่างเป็นไปตามแผน กำหนดแนะนำสู่ตลาดไทยประมาณช่วงเดือนตุลาคมที่จะถึงนี้ ส่วนการส่งออกทั่วโลกน่าจะเริ่มหลังจากนั้น เช่นเดียวกับรุ่นพีซีเอ็กซ์ที่แนะนำสู่ตลาด ช่วงเดือนกันยายนของปีที่ผ่านมา และส่งออกเมื่อเดือนมีนาคมปีนี้ ซึ่งปัจจุบันสัดส่วนการส่งออกรุ่นพีซีเอ็กซ์มากกว่าตลาดในประเทศแล้ว
นายคาโตเปิดเผยว่า นอกจากนี้ฮอนด้ายังเตรียมพิจารณา แผนการทำตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ขนาดใหญ่ หรือบิ๊กไบค์ หลังจากต้องเลื่อนแผนการดำเนินงานมาในช่วง 1-2 ที่ผ่านมา จากปัญหาเศรษฐกิจทั่วโลกชะลอตัว แต่เมื่อสภาวะเศรษฐกิจเริ่มฟื้นตัว ฮอนด้าจึงเตรียมที่จะนำกลับมาดำเนินการใหม่ ซึ่งคาดว่าน่าจะชัดเจนได้ในปี 2554 ที่จะถึงนี้
“การทำตลาดบิ๊กไบค์ไม่ใช่เพียงนำรถเข้ามาขาย และมีโชว์รูมรองรับเท่านั้น แต่บิ๊กไบค์เป็นรถที่มีเทคโนโลยีสูง จึงจำเป็นจะต้องปรับแต่งให้สอดคล้องกับสภาพในไทย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเครื่องยนต์ให้รองรับน้ำมันในไทย เรื่องของเสียง และมลพิษไอเสีย รวมถึงแสงสว่างของไฟหน้าและท้าย เป็นต้น เหตุนี้เพื่อไม่ให้เกิดปัญหากับบิ๊กไบค์ที่นำเข้ามาทำตลาด ฮอนด้าในไทยจึงต้องลงทุนมากกว่า 10 ล้านบาท ตั้งศูนย์พัฒนาและปรับแต่งบิ๊กไบค์ขึ้นในประเทศญี่ปุ่น เพื่อรองรับบิ๊กไบค์ที่จะนำเข้ามาทำตลาดในไทยโดยเฉพาะ”
นายคาโตกล่าวว่า สำหรับภาพรวมตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ไทย ในช่วงครึ่งแรกของปี 2553 มีตัวเลขยอดจดทะเบียนทุกยี่ห้อรวมกว่า 9.33 แสนคัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากปีที่แล้ว 25% โดยฮอนด้ามียอดขายกว่า 6.41 แสนคัน เพิ่มขึ้น 30% และครองส่วนแบ่งทางการตลาด 69%
“คาดว่าในช่วงครึ่งปีหลัง ตลาดจะกลับมาขยายตัวสู่สภาวะปกติ ทำให้ภาพรวมตลาดรถจักรยานยนต์ไทยปีนี้น่าจะอยู่ที่ประมาณ 1.79 ล้านคัน หรือเทียบกับปีที่แล้วเพิ่มขึ้น 16% โดยฮอนด้าคาดว่าจะมียอดขายตลอดทั้งปี 1.22 ล้านคัน ขยายตัว 20%” นายคาโตกล่าว
